Politeknik Indonusa Surakarta Hosts Visiting Professor to Discuss the Media Digital
Surakarta, April 5, 2026 — Politeknik Indonusa Surakarta, through its Media Production Study Program, successfully hosted a Visiting Professor event titled “Trends and the Future of Digital Media in Information Systems Development.” This event was part of an international academic collaboration with INTI International University Malaysia.
The event, held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Campus 1 of Indonusa Polytechnic Surakarta, featured an international speaker, Prof. Dr. Deshinta Arrova Dewi. In her presentation, she discussed the latest developments and future prospects of big data in information systems development, including its relevance in the increasingly data-driven digital media industry.
The event was attended by students and the academic community, with a program that included participant registration, opening remarks, a presentation, a Q&A session, and closing remarks. Participant enthusiasm was high, particularly during the interactive discussion session that explored the use of big data in media content production and distribution.
The Director of Politeknik Indonusa Surakarta, Ir. Suci Purwandari, M.M., Ph.D., stated that this event serves as a strategic step in enhancing academic quality while expanding international networks. “Students not only understand the theory but also see how data plays a role in today’s creative and media industries,” she said.
Head of the Media Production Program, Markus Utomo Sukendar, M.I.Kom, added that this event opened new perspectives for students regarding the integration of data technology in the world of media production.
